The de-throttling of the new Piaggio iGet Euro4 engines, as they are installed in Vespa Primavera, Vespa Sprint 50 or Piaggio Liberty and Zip Euro4 engines 2017-2019, is no longer possible without intervention in the engine control and thus difficult to implement for a layman. As a rule, an engine tester is needed, which only the authorized dealer has.
The Naraku throttle kit has an open, unthrottled ECU / CDI ignition box, which does NOT need to be tuned with an engine tester on the vehicle. Simply plugging it in is sufficient. In later operation, this is also recognized by the tester during a workshop visit and is not indicated as a fault. Nevertheless, to prevent over-revving the engine, the ignition curve is also sealed with the Naraku ECU, significantly later than with the factory ECU, but at a safe 10,000.
The scooter has 2 anti-manipulation screws installed on the vario cover, these are replaced by the two supplied Piaggio OEM screws. In addition, a new open intake hose is included in the kit, which increases the air flow. On the new engine power matching variator rollers and clutch springs are supplied in the kit and simply need to be mounted.
. With a sports variator such as the Naraku NK901.27 max speed and acceleration can be further increased (tuning required).
